At Heirloom Windows we design and create historically accurate and energy efficient wooden replacement windows. We utilize Accoya decay proof wood, Spacia Vacuum insulated glass, our own Window Logic weather stripping system, and high quality constant force balancing systems to deliver the efficiency of a modern window that maintains the historical aesthetics of your home.
Heirloom Windows wood window replacement design features have been approved by many historical preservation societies for Cape Cod, Colonial, Craftsman, Farmhouse, Federal, Georgian, Gothic, Greek Revival, Mid Century, Plantation, Prairie, Queen Anne, Tudor, and Victorian home styles.
Our wooden window replacement designs revolve around the historic tradition of setting glass 7/8″ deep into the sash from the interior to create depth and richness to the window. We maintain efficiency with thin vacuum insulated glass that allows us to create windows that fit existing jambs without modification. We then incorporate historic wood millwork molding profiles such as the "Roman Ogee" into the wood sash to replicate the character of a traditional window design from the late 1800s. Modern wood window manufacturers often ignore both depth and wood millwork profile details. These wood window replacement design features have been approved by many historical preservation societies across the United States.
